Driven To Cure
DTC is committed to raising awareness and securing funds for the research of rare kidney cancers such as HLRCC. In 2010, driven by his love for soccer, Dan began coaching at Georgetown Prep, where he met Andrew Lee. After graduating from GP, at the end of his freshman year in college, Andrew was diagnosed with Hereditary Leiomyomatosis and Renal Cell Cancer (HLRCC) and, unfortunately, passed away in 2019, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
While DTC revolves around Andrew’s love for cars, soccer was another of his passions, with Tottenham Hotspur F.C. being his favorite team. In the fall of 2018, just before his passing, Andrew joined Dan on the sidelines as his Assistant Coach, contributing to coaching a new generation of young soccer players.
Reflecting on their time together, Dan expressed, “The time I got to spend with Andrew every day as a player and then years later as a fellow coach meant so much to me.” To support Andrew’s relentless fight against cancer, DTC encourages donations. Any donation or apparel purchase will be matched with a $3 donation, paying tribute to Andrew’s #3 jersey. Your support goes towards crucial research facilities like The National Institute of Health. Operation Second Chance
Operation Second Chance is dedicated to aiding Veterans. With family and friends who have served in the military, supporting their fellow service members is very meaningful to us. This non-profit organization actively raises awareness and provides ongoing assistance to our nation’s heroes. Their goal is to ensure that no combat-wounded, injured, or ill Veteran eligible for assistance and healing is overlooked, within the sustainable scope of services offered by OSC.
Cornerstone Montgomery
Cornerstone Montgomery, a nonsectarian nonprofit organization operating independently as a 501(c)3, has the capability to cater to over 2,500 adults and transition-aged youth. Their expertise lies in delivering comprehensive, community- and evidence-based mental health services, including treatments and interventions for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Dan became a member of the Board of Directors in 2023.
